VINTAGE "MOTION PICTURE CLASSIC" MAGAZINE, APRIL 1931. 1st time offered, fresh find right from a Buffalo area estate & new to the marketplace (please be sure to check out our other on-going auctions. especially my other movie, theatre related magazines now listed & coming on). Please take the necessary minute or two to read the entire ad description , terms, etc to avoid any surprises later, the pic(s) are to be considered part of the description, as usual any final calls on anything are up to you, WYSIWYG. t/y Please understand that you're bidding on the individual magazine as described in the next following paragraph, NOT the "bulk collection photo". I put the "group/collection" pic in just so you can get an idea of what the collection entailed & what's coming on. Now a little background on this collection. As an "old picker dude" might say, "basement fresh find" straight from an old gents old house/estate/tag sale just last week. The old gent had a real fascination with the movies, actors/actresses, arts/theatre & Hollywood in general & collected related mags, read them, preserved them real well & stored them away. I'm not going into vast detail regarding the contents, I trust that you folks looking in have a pretty good idea of what you're looking at, however I will mention a content hi-light or two every now & then. Scanning through them these are just loaded with articles, reviews, pics & super great old ads. Just a few of the titles are "Screen Book", "Motion Picture", "Screenland", "Movies", "Motion Picture Classics", "Silver Screen", "Hollywood", "Modern Screen", "Broadway & Hollywood Movies", plus, plus, plus many more & lots of singles issues. Most all have fabulous cover art, colors, motifs, etc. Dates will range from 1923 being the earliest with nothing newer than early 1940's (1943 I believe). The overall condition is supurb, many look like they might have just come from a news stand, there will be a few with some "issues" & will be noted on each individual ad (again in the next following paragraph). I don't have an inventory list available (there will be over 100 mags in total, I know that it doesn't look like that many but be advised there's 20 of the Silver Screen mags in the stack) so please check back every few days for more listings. NOTE on shipping: I can only ship 1 for the below stated rate, if you buy multiples please wait for our combined invoice. t/y THIS AUCTION IS FOR: 1 "MOTION PICTURE CLASSIC" MAGAZINE, VOL XXXIII NO 2, APRIL 1931, AWESOME COVER ART! 106 pages, no torn, loose or missing pages, solid spine with good staples, pages look to have started to yellow a little, not brittled. Cover real nice & crisp, couple of very, very minor corner, edge & spine dings, folded/bent upper right corner (which extended onto the 1st inside page), staples are starting to "bulge" through" but not torn or holed, very tiny tear on back cover edge along with a little bit of old soilage/stainage, nothing to worry about, otherwise inside nice & clean overall, despite the minor cover "issues", this is still one of the nicest mags from this collection. Lots of pics done in sepia-tone, Carole Lombard story, Billie Dove story, Dorothy Jordan story plus some movie reviews, few full page pics with short bios, articles, other pics some with short bios of many actors/actresses of the day, etc etc. & some great ads. I guess from about this point onward Pay-Pal will be the ONLY accepted form of payment, if that doesn't work for you, I'm sorry, there's only 1 place that you can vent your displeasure about this policy towards & that's NOT me!
