A hard to find, extraordinary, new/vintage Mundial Pro Chef Ironwood utility/boning knife. This 6" utility, (11 " LOA), knife is one of the vintage Mundial Ironwood pro knife series. It is unused, and mint. It is fully forged, with integral tang, bolster and finger guard, and large nickel silver rivets securing the Ironwood handle scales. Ironwood is characterized by dark brown to black contrasting grain in the already rich brown wood. It is a dense , stable wood, and contains natural oils that preserve and protect it from moisture damage, both of which make for some of the finest natural knife handles. Blocks of Ironwood have been split and the pieces matched to carry the grain pattern through both side of the handle. The handle scales on this one are beautiful, smooth, and warm in the hand. The factory edge is already razor sharp and needs no further sharpening. This is one of the most attractive and at the same time highly efficient kitchen knives you will find.Mundial has long been recognized for their very high quality professional kitchen knives. Making their knives in Brazil, fully forged from some of the finest stainless steel, they rival or even beat the more available German knives in quality.
