This is a large vintage Murano glass bird figurine/sculpture. From what I can tell from my research it is maybe a pheasant or a cockatoo. It was purchased about 10 years ago while on a cruise in Murano, Italy. I don't know much more specific about it, but it is in excellent condition. The piece measures 15 inches tall and weighs 7.4 pounds. It is made of transparent greenish turquoise glass, which darkens to green at the bottom, as well as a ruby/wine color on the upper bust and head.
