For your consideration, we have a vintage Murano Clown by Archimede Seguso. He is approximately 9 inches tall and 4 and 1/2 inches wide at the hands. This fellow has lost his label at some point in his career, but would probably have had the J.I. Label attached. He is holding two multicolored glass balls and has the typical Seguso features. He is absolutely undamaged, however there is some type of residue on the bottom of his feet. I have not tried to remove this as it does not interfere with his ability to stand solidly in place and is not visible. I will not knowingly list a damaged or repaired item. I am reasonably sure that he dates from the mid 1960's. He is assuredly the real deal and not one of the Chinese knockoffs that are not only tragically overpriced and have been flooding the market in recent history. These travesties are marketed as "genuine Murano" and "vintage". In most cases they are so "vintage", that the glass may still be warm and the fake "label" still has wet ink from the printer. Nor is this fellow overpriced. He is Murano but his starting price is not so inflated as to be ridiculous as well as totally unaffordable. Fortunately for us all, there is a great difference between "asking price" and actual "selling price". Please be advised that these clowns are not sent out on an "approval" basis.
