Up for your consideration is a Vintage Native American Ceremonial Beaded Choker (This may be a wedding choker) c1800s Measures 12" We recently acquired a very nice collection of antique and Native American jewelry from a family member. This Beaded necklace is part of a larger collection Native American Indian pieces-ranging from exquisite arrowheads to full ceremonial outfits. Before my family immigrated to the US-they were successful merchants dealing primarily in textiles. During the course of their dealings across Europe and the Middle East, they would occasionally barter or purchase items (primarily jewelry) from various tribes or individuals. When they arrived in the US,being avid hoarders and collectors of just about everything-they discovered how vast and diverse the American Indian culture was and started collecting artifacts from various tribes around the country. On the central beaded pendant, there appears to be a couple of strands that have come loose on the lower left *See Pics-I imagine that it can be repaired.
