Obtained recently from a local estate is this vintage Skookum papoose doll mailer. The doll itself measures 3 1/4" while the mailer tag measures 4 1/4". The mailer is from the Pahaska Tepee at Buffalo Bill's Museum Lookout Mountain , Colorado. The museum opened to the public in 1921. Native American symbols around the border of the mailer including the "swastika" symbol. The skookum was mailed to a farm in New York. Appears to be very old--possibly 1930's or before. Very good condition--the mailer tag is flat with a few old creases. Nice skookum and could be a somewhat rare item due to the "swastika" symbol. Buyer pays $5.75 shipping in the U.S.
