A most amazing find! I have collected linens and vintage sewing items for years and I have never see this before. This is an actual sewing caddy made out of aluminum. It is New in the Box, actually a shipping box. I actually had to break the seal so as to take the pictures, so this is absolutely perfect. For those of us who remember drinking from aluminum glasses (early 50's?), I'm guessing that this is about the same age. T are 42 brand new spools of J&P Coats thread, all on wood spools, in a variety of colors. The threads vary from 40, 50, and 60 weight cotton to "boilfast" colors and a few Heavy Duty threads. The caddy measures 7 inches long, 5 inches tall, and 3.5 inches deep. It has small feet upon which it rests, and a carrying handle. As you can see from the photos, the kit comes with two new-sharp pairs of scissors, embossed on one side "Kleencut, Made in USA" and on the other side "Forged Steel." They arrived in their own little envelopes. In addition, the caddy comes with a plastic cover to protect the treads while not in use. The cover just slips over like a toaster cover. It comes in its own little envelope, as well. Also, t is an ad enclosed for tweezers made, presumably, by the same company. Really this is so much fun!
