Vintage Nippon China Vanity Hair Powder Tray M Hallmark DESCRIPTION Marked Hand Painted Nippon which dates it pre 1930's this cute Porcelain Vanity Set is hallmarked with an "M" (see pics). The set contains a tray, a powder vase and a hair vase, and one flower vase. The set is adorned with purple flowers and has a tactile nature. Everything is in excellent shape except for the flower vase which has a small chip and crack at the rim (see pics). The tray is 10.25" Long X 7" wide, and the flower case is 5" tall. I was told by the owner that the covered vase with the hole in the lid was to keep your hair in and the other was for powder. I guess they used to make braids and decorations during the depression with hair, eew. Regardless, it is a nice set. Good Luck! PICTURES SHIPPING Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
