Details: Vintage Nippon Oriental China Hand-Painted Plate with Butterfly Motif . Incredible detail work! Extremely elaborate piece; much of the surface is gilded and has a beaded texture. You will see 5 different butterflies, as well as assorted flowers and leaves. Scalloped edges. The base has an edging which allows it to sit above the surface of a table. Exact age is not known. Stamp on bottom reas Nippon Oriental China. Measures approx. 12.25" diameter across; stands approx. 1.5" off table. Thick, nice quality glass. Weighs approx. 14 ounces unboxed.
