Up for your consideration and bid, is this MSA TOPGARD helmet as used by New York City Emergency Medical Services (NYC EMS) prior to merger with the FDNY. I purchased this USED helmet on eBay from the original user (a true gentleman, and one of the best eBay sellers I ever dealt with) back in 2002. At the time, I was the EMS Education Assistant (office coordinator, grunt, and go-fer) for an EMS training program. This helmet was displayed in my cubicle. Later, I was promoted to EMS Program Director in charge of a paramedic school. This helmet sat on display in my office. Now, it sits on a shelf in my home office...collecting dust, and I'm the only one who sees it. That means, it is probably time for a new home for it. This is the real thing, make no mistake. This brain bucket has seen use on the streets of New York City . It is a much heavier plastic than the TOPGARD helmets of Johnny and Roy 's day. It has a variety of scuffs, and some scrapes on the stickers. The orange stripes and NYC EMS emblem are made of reflective material. The Star of Life stickers are not. Inside is the ratchet-style headband, and original stickers from MSA on certifications/proper use. Also inside, is a label-maker sticker for "BILL 305" the original user. This vintage helmet is obsolete in a number of ways...but is still being sold ONLY as a collectible. read more
