not dated but it is signed. oil on masonite panel very pretty traditionalist work with light from the east. this painting was brought down from Maine about 30 years ago with estate of collector. T is a lot of information available about Mr. Handlen on the internet. A Marine artist noted for sea scapes ships and wonderful outdoor views I believe he is now in his mid 90's. His work is exhibited and award winning. Some of the works almost seem more impressionist look with free strong brush strokes. This painting looks like you are walking thru the dunes on path and see the breaking wave ahead.. the size is 18 x 14 unframed. with the frame it is 17 3/4 inch x 21 1/2 in. the frame is heavy and has some light corner chipping on lower edge you have to really look to see it that has been re-gilded but it is still a very pretty frame you do not notice the small damages. It is not necessary that you take the frame it would reduce the cost of shipping.. postage fee of 30.00
