Unbelievable vintage original news agency photo of legendary composer GEORGE GERSHWIN (1898-1937) circa 1928. Original stamp giving credit to photographer Pollard Crowther from Raven Studios in London (see scan below). Item is 6 x 7" on double weight stock, with matte sepia finish. Mint condition, and in AMAZING shape for a photo almost 80 years old.! We have just acquired a large collection of photos from the family of the owner of an agency active from the 30âe(tm)s through the 60âe(tm)s. These photos have been in storage since 1970 so most are in mint condition. Please check our other auctions this week and in the coming weeks. We are happy to combine items to save postage.
