Up for your consideration is this Older Steinbach of Germany Wood Nutcracker. Found stored in Aunts home boxed with older Christmas ornaments in same box. Standing 15 inches, when you turn wheel front blocked wood moves up and down like an instrument. Nutcrackers a little dusty and needs a good cleaning(mainly Hat and Beard).
