From my collection of vintage(1920-30's) American Papier Mache Christmas Santa Claus figures is this RARE form of an all white Santa figure with a pack of toys on his back riding the very unusual POLAR BEAR. The bear has a snout nose(missing a bit of paint) and is galloping in the snow, you might say. Perhaps Santa is running late this Christmas Eve! I have seen this figure only once when I was collecting these out in Lancaster County Pa. back in the 80's and I bought it immediately. I have not seen one like it since. Plus, Santa Claus riding a Polar Bear in any vintage holiday form is uncommon. The condition is fine VINTAGE- no breaks or tears or missing parts within the molding. It does have age wear, rubs, and an all over patina which is not unattractive. T is great flesh color on Santa's bearded face, deep red on his cap, coal black on his boots. Some paint chipped off in small spots on the figure- I have not attempted any repainting, a professional probably could do so if desired, but this Santa really has that old Christmas look that with other holiday items of the era looks so great.T is a price of 15 cents written on the base. This is NOT a reproduction but an honest early 1900's form. Questions welcome. Guaranteed as described. NO reserve. The figure's size is 9 1/2' tall X 8 1/2' width
