~~ PARAGON "ROYAL CANADIAN VISIT" OCT. 1951~~ HRH PRINCESS ELIZABETH & HRH DUKE OF EDINBURGH I am now offering a most desirable, very rare and unusually lovely PARAGON BONE CHINA HAND PAINTED COMMEMORATIVE " TEA CUP AND SAUCER". This most beautiful Tea Cup and Saucer was produced by PARAGON in England. Paragon patterns and quality have always been recognized among fine China Collectors over the world, for the positive quailty control throughout the fireing processes, to, and including the very fine hand painting, and outstanding border decorations. This fabulous Cup and Saucer presents the remarkable techniques in the arrangements of the Flowers and Leaves all in bright colors, with a very soft pale Egg-Shell background. The theme of this cup & saucer is the Canadian Maple Leaf which is pre-dominate over all. The inside of the cup is hand painted with 6 large Maple leaves and bouquets of Roses and Buds between each leaf. The enitials "E&P" below the Royal Crown are in the bottom of the cup. The pedestal foot of the cup, finger hold, and the rim of the cup are all outlined under glaze in heavy yellow Gold. On the bottom of the cup is the name PARAGON, the 2 Royal Standards, and below, by appointment, fine bone china, ENGLAND, and the registration Mark. T is also a small dart mark showing this cup & saucer were inspected and cleared
