Up for bid is a wonderful antique Wood Pail or Measure painted by the famous craftsman and artist, Warner Wrede. This fine piece of art measures 11" across the top and 6 1/2" tall plus the swinging handle. It is in mint condition, no chips or flaking. The front features one of Peter and Warner's famous men in stride with a beautiful strawberry on the end of his stick. It has great fruit detail all around the sides and back as pictured. This piece is large and very striking. It was purchased in the 1982 from Helen Witney, Treen Shop Antiques, Zellienople, Pa. Warner Wrede was Peter's partner until Peter's death in 1979.
