Up for auction is an old PHILCO 40-130 tube radio for parts. The radio turns on, but I can't get anything but humming noise when it is on. This is a nifty old radio if someone knows how to work on radios like this. The front of the radio w the dial is has:POLICE AMATEUR POLICE NIGHT AIRCRAFT and BROADCAST over and under the numbers. All the dials appear to operate correctly, but just can't get it to work. T is a sticker on the back of the radio that says: BUILT TO RECEIVE TELEVISION SOUND. The case is nice, except someone spilled 2 lines of paint on the top about 3 inches and 1 1/2 inches long on the top. Could probably be removed, but I will leave that to the new owner Doesn't appear to be any chips or cracks in the wood. T are some scratches on the wood, but repainted probably would not show. Buy this radio AS IS, don't know if it will work or not.Low start, no reserve, so take a project on, and make yourself a nice vintage radio. Shipping on the radio which weighs almost 13 pounds will be 15.00 sent parcel post with delivery confirmation added to the closing auction price.
