Vintage 3 piece Dutch pewter tea set - good condition. Description Wonderfully elegant three piece tea set in a heavy grade of pewter by the Dutch company Zeister. The tea set probably dates from the early 20th century to the 1930s. Apart from the vintage shape the tea set has some lovely features: the teapot has a rattan handle in perfect condition, the sugar basin is lidded and the teapot and sugar basin are completed with tall, spire-like finials. The pewter has a soft blue grey lustre which looks superb when contrasted with rich colours. The set is very robust, due to the thickness of the metal in which it is made. As such, it has no dings or dents. It does have a slight shaving off the base of the teapot - just at the very edge which dos not affect the stability of the teapot at all and is barely noticeable. Other than that, there are just surface scratches commensurate with a moderate degree of use. Inside condition is nice and clean. The teapot has a capacity of 2 pints and is a lovely pourer! Shipping My postage and packing policy is to be absolutely fair. I do not try to make a profit from postage and packing, but I think it is reasonable to charge a small amount for packing materials, which I will use as necessary to ensure that my items are safe in the post. I also spend quite a lot of time in packing individual items. Most of my items are packed in strong boxes, recycled to keeps costs down. These can add as much 500g or more to the weight of the package. I normally charge between 25p and 78p for packaging, depending on the size and quantity of pieces comprising the item. Where items are packaged in padded envelopes or cardboard sheets I will reduce my estimate accordingly. I post first class as a standard service, on the assumption that buyers want to receive their goods as soon as possible. I can offer buyers the option to reduce their postal costs by requesting a quote for second class or standard parcel rate - please contact me before payment. I would ask buyers requesting a less expensive post, when leaving star ratings in feedback, to remember that this will delay timing of receipt. I will still post within 2 business days of payment, or sooner if I able to do so. I leave postage price displayed on my parcels. If any buyer is dissatisfied with my postage and packaging charge would they please check the label on their parcels and contact me to discuss a refund. No-one should pay more than �1 over the postal charge for packaging (most pay far less)and if I become aware that anyone has paid an excessive amount I will refund them automatically. Insurance: The Royal Mail provide insurance on items up to the value of �41. On items in excess of this value I will incorporate an insurance charge into my postage and packing estimate.
