Up for auction is a beautiful Vintage Pioneer CT-F950 3 Head Stereo Cassette Deck in excellent operational condition and very clean overall cosmetic condition. I could detect only two very minor imperfections located at the very top of the front face panel and another located on the right lower plastic trim framing surrounding the display,but please judge on your own by the photos and feel free to ask questions. I am a professional service technician and vintage collector and I take great pride on occassion to find the cleanest pieces for complete repair and restoration.This deck is in pristine condition for its age and derived from a very well cared for and smokeless environment in my analysis. Belt replacements are usually necessary in these decks, but just changing belts rarely results in a long term reliable repair in my opinion. Below is a brief detail of the service work performed as best... All belts were replaced and all related transport moving components were replaced and reconditioned as necessary. The capstan and reel motors were reconditioned and closely monitored for any telltale signs of future failure. Tape transport and head deck components were cleaned, degreased and regreased.Takeup and fastwind torques were calibrated to specs. All circuit boards were closely inspected for heat fatigued and cold solder connections. read more
