This is a vintage Pioneer SX-3700 in excellent conditionI have not seen one in such great condition in a long , long timeThere are almost no signs of use and handling or storage at all and no scratches in the wood veneeror to the front plate or plasticThere is one tiny deng just over the Low filter knob but that is itPlease look at all the 20 pictures below to see how nice this unit really isHowever , before I tell you more about the receiver I want you to know that there is a small problem withthe LCD display for the tuner frequencySome segments do not come on all of the time but they do come on sometimes and a friend of mine who just serviced the unittells me that there is a posibility the segments will recover if the receiver is used frequently but he isn`t sure about itHe says sometime they will and sometimes they won`tIt`s only a small problem that only shows when you use the unit as a radio receiver anyways This SX-3700 belongs to a collector of vintage Hi-Fi equipment and every now and then I am selling pieces from his collectionbecause he either has bought or is going to buy another unit and due to space limits he needs to sell a piece from his collectionAs mentioned before , I have a friend who is an electronic technician with over 25 years of experience and every timeI am selling a vintage HI-Fi unit he services them for me to ensure all will work as supposed toHe has hooked the SX-3700 up to all kind of testing equipment , cleaned the inside and cleaned and lubricatedall knobs and buttons and all tested fine and there is no static noise when the knobs or buttons are used This is not a unit that was found at a garage sale or thrift store and someone held the hose from a vacuum cleaner insideThis was serviced by a professional and I stand 100% behind the unit and you have 14 day to test it and if it is not in the conditionas described here you can ship it back to me and I will issue a full refund to you I don`t think I have to tell you too much about the SX-3700 since you obviously have been looking for one but here are just some basic factsThe SX3700 was made from 1980 to 1982 and features the Pioneer Non-Switching amplifier that outputs 45 Watts of pure power per channelThe display is known as the Flurascan Display and it was a real nice featureThe SX-3700 is known as the little brother of the Pioneer SX-3900 and SX3800 and its sound quality is right up there with his big brothersIt also was one of the last ( if not the last ) analog receiver Pioneer produced and has the beautiful AM FM scale in addition to the LCD If you have any questions about the receiver please feel free to contact me The contact seller button is on the bottom of this page Steal it just for $120 !!!
