Vintage Plastic Friction Airplane Toy Aloha Airlines Description: This is an un-branded plastic replica of a Boeing 737 Jetliner Friction Toy. You roll it on the ground to build up speed and when you let go it even has enough torque to pop the front wheel off the ground. It is styled with applied decals like an Aloha Airlines Jetliner with the bright funky orange stripe following the fuselage to the tail. The tail is orange and has flower patterns all over it.. The bottom wheels and wings have a clip that lets you take the whole apparatus off. Why? I have no idea unless you can interchange it but that seems unlikely. The Plane has 2 engines under the wings in chrome colored plastic. Trying to find another that either was sold on ebay or across the web was impossible so I don't have much history on the manufacturer. Age: ? late 70's early 80's Markings: made in Hong Kong under wheels Size: Wingspan is 8-1/4" Wide, body fuselage is 8" Long, Total height from wheel base to top of back horizontal stabilizer is 3-1/4". Condition: The decals are on but have some loose areas along back by stabilizer, the nose of the plane decal is creased and skewed. The white plastic body is yellowed and bordering the grey bottom it is more visible. The friction action works well and it rolls OK over flat surfaces. We have more antique and vintage read more
