This is a spectacular Vintage Portuguese Majolica Plate or Dish. Hand crafted and hand decorated in Portugal, this wonderful piece is designed for wall display if preferred. Crafted in an open work reticulated design giving the illusion of a lacey border. The rim is scalloped and is accented with oval segments that are hand painted with flowers. A center flower cluster completes the design of this Plate. The overall background is bright white with vivid colors in shades of purple, pink, green, blue and more. In terrific condition with no obvious signs of use or display. We found NO chips, cracks or repairs. Very faint crazing was noted. As is common, slight painting or glazing blemishes are evident (pops, skips etc.) As this is older and preowned, there may be faint imperfections that we didn't notice. M easures almost 1 - 1/2" high x nearly 9 - 5/8" in diameter. The underside is marked and initialed by the Artist.
