This vintage postage stamp quilt top is absolutely the nicest old piece I have ever come across and that is saying a great deal because I have collected, bought, sold and loved old linens for much of my life. This top measures 88 x 73 inches and I do not find a stain, a spot, a rip or a tear anyw It seems it was completed and then stored away and the preservation has been incredible. T are 92 rows of blocks with 72 blocks per row for a total of 6480 blocks. The time it took to complete this absolutely boggles the mind! T are feedsack fabrics galore in this gorgeous piece. I have included pictures with a measuring tape so you can see the tiny 1 inch, after sewing together, blocks. Also, the hand stitching on this is some of the nicest and neatest I have ever seen. This piece was made by a true artisan. If you are the lucky winner of this auction, you will have a piece to treasure. It is beautiful on a bed the way it is and making it into a quilt would be just awesome. I have listed this piece before and have had tons of watchers with no bids. I am placing the listing this time with a significant price reduction as I am just not using the quilt and do not think I will ever get to it.
