You are bidding on a unique, vintage postal scale and paperweight. This little scale was made as an advertising or promotional item for Spring Air by the Kemper-Thomas Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. It is machined from solid aluminum bar stock. It has a postal rate chart on the bottom that places its date of manufacture between 1932 and 1958, when a first class letter could be mailed for 3 cents. It comes with its original box and instruction sheet. To give you an idea of the size, the box is about 3 in. square. The scale works but has NOT been checked for accuracy. To use it as a scale, screw off the top, invert, hold the aluminum stem, and press the top down into the stem (see picture #2). Thanks for bidding, and good luck! Shipping to US only! If you are outisde the US, please DO NOT BID! Item will be shipped via Priority Mail (US). Will ship as quickly as possible.
