Vintage Pressed Glass Cake Plate Salver Scalloped Edge DESCRIPTION Auction is for a nice old cake stand that is in perfect condition having no chips, cracks, or damage. It has a slight dip or reservoir in center of plate for rum to keep the cake moist. The plate and stand is all in one piece and not glued together like some newer ones. T are a few straw marks on glass that indicates older glass. Dimensions: 6 3/8" Tall; cake plate 10" Diameter; Base is 5" Diameter. My bubble wrap and quick shipping makes the difference! I try to start most of my auctions with a low starting bid and no reserve. This allows everyone an opportunity to participate. The low opening bid is not an indication of the true value of the item. I use US Post Office or Fed Ex to ship items. Insurance is optional for USPS, but I won't be responsible for uninsured items. Items shipped Fed Ex are always insured. Shipping calculator for Fed Ex is not available at this time so I have used the UPS calculator; it is a rough estimate only. PLEASE WAIT TO BE INVOICED before paying so shipping charges can be adjusted. The difference is minimal and usually less than the UPS calculated shipping cost.
