WE call it primitive but back then it was top of the line. Made by Catawissa Specialty Manufacturing Co, in Pennsylvania with a patent date of 1898. A vegetable slicer that is aprox. 20 1/2" long x 3 3/4" wide and 2" in depth. It has 6 serrated metal blades and a pusher that is wire guided by two slots. It has a wire stop that hold the fruit or veggy while slicing and it has a back stop so that the pusher does not come out of the slots. T is remnants of a paper label still on the bottom of the slicer. The patent date is plainly stamped on the bottom side also. The back stop has been repaired many years ago.
