This is a used, vintage, brass Pyrene fire extinguisher and its EMPTY of contents which would have been carbontetrachloride. The is the rare 1 pint "Automobile Type" and is about 11" long. The front label states "For use on passenger cars only, not recommended for trucks, busses, tractors, or airplanes". It has been polished and lacquered and the wall mount holder has a new coat of paint and looks great. It has a few very small dings and scratches but no big dents, it displays very well. The pictures accurately show the extinguishers condition. This comes with a 1948 Pyrene AD for the "Automobile Type" extinguisher which shows it mounted on the pillar between the windows of a vintage sedan. The AD has been laminated in plastic and gives a nice description and the cost of the extinguisher in 1948. Great for mounting or a display. Winning bid pays shipping and insurance.
