You are bidding on an original vintage 8 quart Dazey butter churn. Unfortunately the jar got broken back in the early 1950's when I was a kid. The lid has been setting on my mother's shelf since that time. By the looks of the lid and the apparatus, it has had very little use. The wooden paddles are like new with no discoloration, bumps or bruises. This is the "football" red top churn which has become very popular in the last few years. The lid measures approx. 5 and 3/4 inches in diameter. The distance from the top of the lid to the bottom of the paddles measures 9 and 1/2 inches. The red paint on this mechanism is near perfect. T is very little tarnish on the aluminum colored parts. It looks and works perfect - just needs the jar (which may be available via reproduction). Please email me if you have any questions.
