This is a beautiful Christmas stocking made from an amazing vintage quilt. I can't say enough about this quilt. I have never seen one with such fabulous hand work before and probably never will again. The tiny squares on this quilt are ONLY 1/2" big! The Nine Patch square with the 9 pieces is only 1 1/2" wide. All hand pieced and hand quilted. Great vintage colors in the fabrics is off-white foundation fabric. The stocking is about 18" long by about 10" wide. The hand quilting is very tiny and close with the rows of stitches only 1/2" apart. I added a cuff made from the same quilt that has the edging from the quilt and a ribbon to hang it by. The back of the stocking is made from vintage chenille. The inside has lining on the back so no bare seams are showing but the back of the quilt itself is showing on the inside so you can appreciate the fine hand work. There were many hours of work that went into making this wonderful "Piece of the Past."Remember that all my creations are made from vintage and antique quilts and may show some of the love that they have received down through the years.
