This auction is for an old Railroad Crossing Bell. This bell was working until recently replaced during a railroad crossing rennovation/update in our area. The wiring was just cut outside the bell. It has a great sound. The name on the bell is RACO. It appears that the door does open, but it requires a tool so I will wait until my husband is home and have him open the door. I assume the mechanical "what have you's" are inside. T may also be a date. I will take additional pictures and post them with this auction. I have additional pictures of the inside of the bell. Since I already responded to some questions requesting pictures, I am unable to respond to the request. So, if you need more pictures, please email me . I will need your email address. This bell is heavy, but I only charge actual shipping, so you won't pay inflated shipping rates. I normally ship USPS, but it may be cheaper to ship this UPS, so I will be glad to oblige. Other than pitting, the bell seems to be in pretty good shape. I took several pictures, so I think you'll get a good idea of the condition.
