Rare Deagan 25 note Amplified Chime Unit Up for auction is this rare Deagan item - This is the ONLY one of its kind that I have ever come across, and it could be the only one that you will see for quite a long time. This unit is in good shape, though it does have a few minor flaws which I will describe below to give you an accurate description of this unit.This is a 25 note amplified unit that sounds just like a tubular cathedral chime. When it is being played, holding the key will allow the note to decay naturally. If the key is let go, the note will be damped, shortening its decay. This behavior acts just like many of the better tubular chimes that are attached to many organs. The volume control does work, though during my testing I have usually left it at its high setting for the most realistic sound.All of the keys move properly, and all strikers also function properly as well. T is one note which has a broken thread that is supposed to hold the rod in suspension - I am going to make an effort to fix this, so look for an update below stating that the note plays if this is a concern. Honestly, it isn't that difficult to fix, I just haven't had the time to look into it yet. T are two or three other notes that have a slightly shorter decay than the rest (all up high on the keyboard, including the "dead" note). I would recommend read more
