Children and an Ostrich make for an unusual vintage piece of hand-embroidered Redwork. On white cotton an ostrich is pictured with a little bonnet girl holding an umbrella atop it. Leading the ostrich is a boy with a hat who is carrying a valise. The piece measures 22" x 30.5". It appears to have been made to lie over a pillow...it is not a pillowcase. T are two pinhead-size dots of rust along with an extremely faint smudge that is the size of a pencil-tip eraser...(must search for it). Not certain of age...early 20th Century would be my guess. Quite charming! Payment must be received no later than 10 days from auction end. 10-day ship delay to allow personal check to clear. USPS Priority or First Class Mail used and Buyer to pay shipping and insurance. Wis. res. add 5.5% sales tax. International Buyers pay via Paypal or International Postal Money Order.
