VERY RARE German autobahn atlas published 1939. A unique piece of Second World War history. Published by Wilhelm Bonacker This copy must have been used by the Inter-Service Topographical Service in Oxford (ISTD) during the Second World War as there is a letter attached inside marked SECRET, plus other papers in cipher and War office Orders from the War Office library. Cover and spine are quite tatty and well used. Maps inside are beautifully printed and detailed and in very good condition. The back cover has a wonderful art deco Mercedes Benz advert. Rare Reichs Autobahn Atlas book. Published by Wilhelm Bonacker, 1938. Hardcover with metal rivets holding atlas pages together. Each page has a four color highway map, many with inserts, some fold out. Maps are richly printed and detailed on heavy stock paper. The back cover has a Mercedes-Benz advertisement. This book cover is in fair condition. It is bowed and has staining, edge wear and soiling. However, the inside maps are in very good condition with no rips, tears, markings, staining or yellowing. The edges have a very slight bit of waviness, but nothing to detract from the maps. Shipping is USPS with tracking for US bidders only. Email me with any other questions.
