Up for auction is the classic Remco Showboat. This excellent piece was released in 1962 and it allowed kids to recreate some classic stories including Heidi, Cindarella, The Wizard of Oz, and Pinocchio. The boat itself is 25 inches long and around 7 inches wide and resembles the showboat from the movie of the same name. There is a curtain that goes up and down, mini cardboard characters from each story, and sets from each story. This particular set features all of the original set pieces, all of the original figurines (one of the Heidi figures is not pictured but does come with the set), the original instruction sheet, the folders for the set pieces, the script book that contains all four stories in it, the very hard to find top of the stage, all twelve stands for the cardboard figures, and the curtain. The boat itself has the smokestack intact but in the front some of the pieces are cracked and in the back the ledge is broken. Overall the piece is still in great shape and would be an excellent addition to any collection. Please feel free to e-mail me any questions you have. I will combine shipping on multiple wins.
