Beautiful Renoir "Copron" finish cuff bracelet and clip earrings. Bracelet and earrings are each marked Renoir and are in excellent condition. Bracelet measures approx. 5 1/2" inside diameter x 1" wide, earrings measure 1 5/8" x 5/8". Back in 1946, Jerry Fells was a young man fresh out of the military service and eager to begin a career. Before the war he had taked extensive are training, but now he needed ot support his family. He had the artistic backgroung, and brother-in-law Curt Freiler had the production know-how. Now the only thing they needed was an office man, and Nat Zausner filled the bill. The trio opened the doors of "Renoir of Hollywood" in 1946. Jerry Fells did most of the design work. The Pacific Sound Building on Beaudry grew to small, so they moved to Santa Monica Boulevard. Their line was tailored jewelry, cuff bracelets, and belts. Their company was growing by leaps and bounds. Even a disastrous fire couldn't stop them; they just cleaned up the mess and moved to Hollywood Boulevard. The two brother-in-laws, Fells and Freiler, became joint owners of the company and renamed it "Renoir of california" in late 1946.
