Vintage rosecut garnet drop earring w/14ct gold studs Vintage rosecut garnet drop earring w/14ct gold studs Each earring is set with 14 genuine rosecut garnets surrounding a center pearshape stone measuring 0.4 x 0.2 inch set in the old alloy 'Tombak' with a 14ct-rosegoldplating like it was usually made in these days. The earring studs are made of solid 14ct gold. On top of each earring one garnet holds a drippy pendant with 13 rosecut garnets and a pearshape center garnet. The size of the earrings can be seen on the last picture where I added an inch ruler and a coin to compare with. _______________________________________________ This is old stock from a retired garnet wholesaler where I found many old garnet pieces in a forgotten attic. These old garnet jewels were made after WW2. The garnets are set in 'Tombak' also called 'garnet gold' (similar to 'Pinchbeck') a base metal with 14ct-rosegoldplating like it was usually made in these days. All stones are genuine natural garnets. The earring studs are made of solid 14ct gold.
