Double your traffic. Vintage Jean Francois Millet Print "The Angelus" in Round Tin Frame 10"! Vintage Millet print "The Angelus" in Round Tin Frame. Here is a lovely old print called "The Angelus" by Frenchman Jean Francois Millet (1814-1875) framed in a round tin frame and probably dating to the turn of the century. The story behind the print is that The Angelus is a Catholic Devotion time. When the church bell rings (3 times a day) people stop working and say a prayer. This couple is praying in their field as the church bells in the background of the picture have rung. This little print is beautifully colored and is in a 10 inch round tin frame painted gold. I believe the glass is hand blown since there are a few small bubbles in the glass. There are a few dings in the frame and a few scratches to the glass in the lower part between the mans foot and the basket on the ground. This is a wonderful antique piece with its original chain to hang the print on the wall. Lots of pictures. Sorry for the glare.Buyer pays shipping. Paypal payment shipped within 48 hours.
