This is a listing for a vintage pair of Sajen sterling silver and bone earrings. They are stamped on the backs with Sajen and 925 and the clips are also stamped 925. These are huge, very bold, runway glamorous earrings with a measurement of 1 and 9/16th inches in length and 1 and 3/8th inches in width. The stone, made out of dyed and polished bone is highly domed with a height that sits half an inch off the surface of the earrings. The stone itself measures an inch tall and .75 inches wide. These are weighty earrings, at 39 grams, but the clip on fasteners prevent them from feeling even slightly heavy. If you collect earrings with beautiful large stones you will know that a clip on fastener is ideal. It distributes the weight of the earring, positions it in an ideal location for the shape and holds the earrings very securely. The clasps on these are large clips, very comfortable and very secure. The Sajen company has been popular for decades and is highly collected for their beautiful designs, excellent quality and gem quality stones. They are also famous for their use of carved bone in their designs. Usually they feature a carved goddess face.
