History of patola History of patola Patola: It is a legendary heritage of Indian textiles from North Gujarat. Patola is possibly derived from the Sanskrit word "Pattakula" meaning a silk fabric. Single patola sari can take as many as 4-5 days of work for 5-6. In Gujarat, it is worn by the ladies during the social and religious ceremonial activities.
