VINTAGE PERMANENT MATCH SCOTTIE DOG LIGHTER Offered is this vintage lighter. Known as the Permanent Match - this unique design holds a striker that you pull out - from the stainless steel case - strike on the side - and you have light. PLEASE NOTE - I am selling this purely as a collectible - NOT as a usable item. This is one of my favorite Scottie collectibles - unique and so charming. Metal case features adorable Scottie withbowl and bone sitting in front. Great detail to pattern. Probably from the 1940s - but not sure. I've had it for many years - got it as a gift for my own Scottie collection - now downsizing. Striker seems to be in tact - unscrews from top. Side slot shows bare metal -not sure if t used to be black flint or something in t Measures approx 1 1/8" x 1 5/8" high including top knob. Metal case is marked on bottom - The Match King - 260 50 Ave. New York - so yes, a USA MADE PRODUCT ! Metal case does show some wear to finish on back side and some wear on front. Image is still nice and clear,however. Cut into metal - not just painted. A must for any Scottie or Tobacco collection. Buyer to pay $3.50 first class shipping item will be BOXED! Thanks for looking.
