This a Vintage Union Switch & Signal Style H-2 made by Westinghouse Air Brake Company of Swissvale, PA. It may have been used by the Santa Fe Railroad as it has a tag that is dated of 1979 on when it was serviced. I hooked up a 6 volt battery charger and got the light to glow and moving the inside lever I got the 3 lights to switch over. It is very good condition, only the glass lens shows some nicks on the surface but it is not cracked.I found a website that explains the use of this type of signal light- "The second primary style of US&S searchlight signal is known as style “H-2”. To accommodate this deflecting prism, the style H-2 signal has an extension on the front of its signal housing. This also allows the deflecting prism to be adjusted through a small hatch on the top of the extension. Consequently, the style H-2 signal is about five inches longer than the style H signal. Also, when mounting targets or backgrounds on an H-2 signal, extensions must be used to move the target forward to the same plain as the outer doublet lens. The H-2 is by far my favorite railroad
