Vintage Set of 8 German Dresden Oldest Volkstedt Lace MusicGroup Piano Singer This is a set of 8 individual Dresden lace pieces that allmake up a music group. There is a pianist, his piano, a lady singer, a gentleman in the audience and four ladies in the audience. All the women have lace gowns and the two men have lace bow tie/scarf. They are hand painted and there is some accented gilt. The pieces are about the same size. The sitting pieces are about 3-1/4” tall x 2” wide, some of the ladies will be wider because of their dresses. The standing singer is 3-1/2” tall x 2-1/2” wide. Some are marked, “Made in Germany,” and some are marked with the Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Studio (est. 1915) blue stamp. There are some chips to the lace on the ladies’ gowns. There are some manufacturing flaws in the paint and one of the audience girls arms has been broken and glued back on but it is close to the dress so hard to see (last 2 photos show the broken area). Please, look at the pictures closely to get a better idea of the overall condition.
