A very unusual darning mushroom. I cannot find any details of one like this. It is difficult to describe. My mother said it was made of silk. It consists of hundreds of black threads made into a solid ball. Possibly about 80 years old. Handle is very slightly bent but I think it can easily be straightened otherwise in excellent condition.
