Thanks for taking a look at this vintage Aneroid Barometer. It has come to me as a ship's barometer, and certainly does not have the appearance of an ordinary domestic one. It measures some 13.5cms diameter, and is about 6cms deep. It's marked as Made in England. As you can see, there is some crazing to the enamel on the dial face, but overall it's in pretty good condition. It appears to be in working order, and there's a screw in the back, which can be used to calibrate the instrument. There is also a brass ring in the top by which it can be hung on a wall. The beze l holding the front glass is a slightly loose fit, but it's perfectly OK with normal handling. I've not attempted to clean the brass body up, preferring to leave that to the new owner. A rather unusual piece and an attractive collectable. Thanks for looking and good luck should you decide to bid for it.
