Up for auction,this beautiful vintage nautical ship's bell clock ,marked on the front SCHATZ .M ade in Germany !!!! Glass is in good condition . It is a thick heavy glass with a slight bevel on the edge ,very nice quality . Face [ Dial ] Good condition with some slight scratches [product for the clock age] The door opens and closes fine. Brass case measures about 6 3/4 inches across including the hinge and the piece to open the door Glass measure 5 3/8 inches in diameter ,and the clock case is about 4 inches deep Adjustment on the front to adjust fast/slow and chime off/on Brass case with one small crack [REALLY HARD TO SEE] photo # 6 Really small crack! BRASS CASE VERY CLEAN .POLISHED AND LACQUERED !!! It keeps excellent time and correctly rings ships bell on the hour and half hour. Condition which you can see from the images provides CLOCK HAD BEEN SERVICED BY A PROFESSIONAL CLOCKMAKER WHICH MEANS IT HAS BEEN TAKEN APART !!! THE MOVEMENT JUST BEEN SERVICES BY PROFESSIONAL CLOCK MAKER OVER TWO WEEKS AGO,STRONG RUNNING CLOCK AND LOUD BELL !!!!!! The fine movement has a two jewels mechanism and strikes the ships bell perfectly every half hour the ships bell striking system sound eight bells at 12 o' clock .... 4 o' clock and 8 o' clock .then the count begins all over again every half hour with one bell ,two bells read more
