Vintage Sterling Silver by Deakin and Francis - Money Clip with vivid Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau original painting of flowers, fern? and leaves - reminds me of a William Morris design Suitable for men or women as a money clip For a women could be used as a pendant for a necklace or as a scarf pin Hallmarked 1935 (Art Deco era) Very beautiful and unusual vintage sterling silver money clip which works perfectly well as a money clip but if you added a silver necklace (needs to have small links) by threading it through the top part of the clip on the back you could then wear it as a necklace. You could also wear it as a scarf pin. The clip mechanism on the back works really well - really snaps too - with a strong grip which makes the pendant and scarf pin option viable. Please note the silver chain, £5 pound note in the photos are NOT included in the auction - they are just props to show the possiblities of how to use or wear the item As far as I can make out the design is an original painting which is covered with curved glass in a cabochon silver setting. It has a clip mechanism on the back Please note that in the photo there are some reflections in the glass from my window - sorry!! It is a sort of floral / flower design with a fern and a leaves. Background of the painting is light blue then the colours used in the painting
