Description: A vintage silver and enamel shield charm for the Bavaria region of Germany. This shield is marked Bayern, Bavaria in German. This is, I think, an older shield, and it shows the arms of Bavaria, the lion of the Pfalz, the arms of Franken, the panther of the Counts of Ortenburg in Niederbayer, the three lions of the Dukes of Schwaben and the escutcheon with the arms of the Wittelsbach family, who were the ruling family. Markings: Marked 800 for 800-grade (Continental) silver. Weight: Approximately 1.4 grams Dimensions: . 11/16" tall x 1/2" wide Condition: Perfect given age. We do combine shipping!
