Hi, this is for a beautiful vintage strand of silver blue pearls. These were brought back by my father from Japan in the mid 1960's, I think they are unworn or worn once & have been kept in their box since then, the condition, luster, seem to be excellent, the silver clasp still looks new. The blue velvet box is in excellent condition. These are 17" with the clasp, the pearls look to be about 7mm, there are 55 pearls. The clasp is marked silver & has an F stamp for Furuya. I am not a pearl expert & have had a tough time determining value, my Mother said she was offered $700 for them by a jeweler in the late 70's but that does not seem to help valuing them now. These are very shiny still with a beautiful blue / silver color, I believe they are natural color Akoya pearls, looking at them, the general effect is well matched in size & round, there are a number with wrinkles on the side & a few are not quite as round as others , the effect is very nice. I hope the photos show them well, on a dark background they seemed to show more silver. The buy it now I have chosen is my guess at the highest possible value through my research, though it looked like now these may not carry that kind of value,so in general I am only expecting offers, feel free to send any reasonable offer & I will consider it & if you have more knowledge of these feel read more
