I have a great old silver plated teapot up for bid. On the bottom it has the mark Racine Silver P Co 226 and a mark that looks like a set of scales. It has lots of intricate details. The design on the body is of foxglove blooms and leaves. The finial on the lid looks like an spear head. The handle has a tight ribbing and the round part has a daisy like flower. The band around the bottom part has a lace like pattern with a scroll inside. The teapot is on four tall feet. The feet meet the body in a leaf pattern. The spout also has a continuation of these patterns. It is in good condition and heavy. It measures 12 inches high and 9 1/2 inches across from the spout to handle width. It will hold at least 6 cups. This was an estate auction find. Please email any questions. The teapot really needs a polishing. I will leave that to the winning bidder.
