I HAVE UP FOR AUCTION THE NICEST SINGER FEATHERWEIGHT #221-1 PORTABLE SEWING MACHINE THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION AND APPEARS TO HAVE HAD VERY LITTLE USE. THE PAINT, GOLD PRINT, CASE, ATTACHMENTS, FOOT PEDAL & ETC. ARE IN SUPERIOR CONDITION. I BOUGHT THIS JEWEL AT AN OLD FARMERS ESTATE SALE. HE TOLD ME THAT IT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE SINCE HIS WIFE PAST AWAY YEARS AGO. S/H $24.50 Description: Machine 221-1, for family use, has a rotary sewing hook and makes the lock stitch. It has reverse feeding mechanism by means of which the machine stitches as readily in a reverse direction as it does in a forward direction. It is especially designed for operation by electricity, having an electric motor attached to the rear part of its bed. The motor drives the machine through a belt and the speed is regulated by a foot controller. It is also equiped with an electric Singerlight Condition: Excellent Cosmetic Condition. The sewing machine is in excellent working order. The light works. The cord is in excellent condition is clean and flexible (spliced to make it longer.
